About
Cornel Gabara, Irene Alby, Daniel Thobias and Jakyung Seo have a long history of working together on productions, including collaborations with the Toledo Symphony, Carnegie Hall, The First Global Women's Performing Arts Festival and the Glacity Theatre Collective. They have performed, directed and designed all over the world. Their theatrical vision spans their multicultural and international world views as they encompass American, Canadian, Italian, Romanian, Swedish and South Korean citizenships.
Irene Alby
Irene Alby's international credits include: The First Global Women's Performing Arts Festival (S.Korea); the Montreal Festival de Théâtre des Amériques; and The Ohio Ice Factory Festival (NY). New York credits include: the NY Metropolitan Opera; the Manhattan Theatre Club; The Mettawee River Theatre; St Veronica's Church and the Theatre of the Riverside Church. Regional credits: Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks; Bricolage Theatre; West Virginia Public Theatre, the Glacity Theatre Collective, The Toledo Symphony. Canadian credits include: The Other Theatre/L'Autre Théâtre (Montreal) and the Pumphouse Theatre (Calgary). She has directed and/or performed in over 30 productions. Cornel Gabara
Cornel Gabara has toured all over the world as an actor and musician working with world renowned directors including Andrei Serban, Peter Sellars, Robert Woodruff and Robert Wilson. International credits include: The Edinburgh International Festival, The Paris Festival d'été, the Ruhr Triennale, the Sao Paolo Biennale, The Forum Barcelona, The Holland Festival, The Wiener Festwochen, the RomaEuropa Festival, Carnegie Hall (NY) and the National Theatre of Bucharest. In the USA, he has performed/directed performances at La Mama ETC, The American Repertory Theatre, The Toledo Symphony and the NY Metropolitan Opera. Jakyung Seo
Jakyung Seo has worked as a professional lighting designer and assistant lighting designer in USA regional theatres including Steppenwolf and Congo Square Theatre (Chicago), Eye to Soul (NYC), CATCO (Columbus), Porthouse and Lodestone Theatre (LA). Her international credits include: "Face" with Eye to Soul in Edinburgh, and "What We Want Is" for Thrust Dance Company in Japan, where she was awarded the best prize at the International Dance Festival in Saitama. Recently, she designed "BINARI" with MAC theatre company at Avignon Off Theatre festival and Theatre Laboratory Elizabeth Czerczuk, Paris at France, Sibiu International Theatre Festival at Romania, Busan Performing Arts International Festival (South Korea). She has designed more than 60 shows including "South Pacific," "Peterman," "Man of La Mancha" and many dance performances.
Daniel Thobias
Daniel Thobias is a professional Costume and Scenic Designer, and translator originally from Sweden. US credits include The Weathervane Theatre, the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Opera Santa Barbara, Cuttingball Theatre, The Glacity Theatre Collective, The Festival Stage of Winston Salem and Meow Wolf, Santa Fe. International Credits include The Global Women's Performing Arts Festival (S. Korea) . He has designed over 100 productions. His portfolio can be seen at www.scenedesign.org
